Easy Apple Cinnamon Oats

The coziest bowl of comforting oatmeal on a chilly fall day. Gluten-free, dairy-free, and full of delicious fall flavors!

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup + 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch kosher salt
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • chopped apples, for topping

Instructions
 

  • Mix all ingredients except chopped apples in a microwave-safe bowl.
  • Microwave for 2 minutes 30 seconds to 3 minutes, stirring as needed to prevent mixture from bubbling over.
  • Once all the liquid is absorbed, give it one last stir and top with chopped apples and other toppings of your choice (I like peanut butter or greek yogurt on mine!). Let cool slightly before serving.
