Make This Easy Salted Honey Peanut Butter in 5 Minutes
Healthy, homemade peanut butter in just 5 minutes! It’s made of just 3 ingredients and it’s so easy you’ll never buy store-bought again!
Store-bought peanut butter often contains lots of added sugar and oils. This healthy homemade peanut butter is made of only 3 ingredients! It’s a great source of healthy fat and protein. Add a spoonful to your oatmeal or yogurt bowl, dip some carrots and celery in it, or use it to make a healthier peanut butter and jelly sandwich on whole grain bread!
Ingredients in Peanut Butter:
- Roasted Peanuts: You can find these at pretty much any grocery store! I like to use the unsalted version so I can control the amount of salty taste in my peanut butter.
- Kosher Salt: You can use as much or as little salt as you like, but I recommend coarse kosher salt! It’s flavor is not as salty as regular table salt.
- Honey: This adds the most delicious touch of sweetness to the peanut butter!
That’s it! That’s all you need to make smooth, creamy, homemade peanut butter. It’s much easier than you think to make it, too!
How to Make Homemade Peanut Butter:
- Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor. I use my Ninja blender to make this peanut butter and it works great! Just add the peanuts, salt and honey, and blend on medium high-speed for 4 to 5 minutes.
- Have patience! It takes a few minutes for the peanut butter to turn smooth and creamy. Just give it time, it will come together! If you’re worried about your blender or food processor over-heating, give it a break from blending or switch it to pulse mode after a couple minutes.
- Store it. And that’s it! Just store your creamy, freshly blended peanut butter in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 3 months.
Wasn’t that easy?! I’m so excited for you to try this peanut butter! It’s great to have on hand for snacking or sandwiches.
